Came here with a friend from work for a quick happy hour get together. I was a huge fan of their happy hour menu, the Scapegoat pizza was big enough to share between the two of us and it was absolutely delicious! We only sipped on the house white/red glasses, but they were pretty tasty! We had a little issue flagging down someone for our check, but once we did, we were out within 5 minutes! I cannot wait to come back here for (1/2 off bottles) Wine Wednesday!
My husband and I came here for a quick bite and a bottle of wine. We split a bottle of vinho verde that was pretty good and a bbq chicken pizza. It was nice sitting outside and bringing the dog! There were lots of people working on their laptops and I would definitely come back to do some work. The pizza was okay - nothing amazing but did the job. I've also come here for trivia night on Sunday which was very fun! The food is kind of expensive for what it is, but it is always a nice time here.
Nice mellow bar with modern decor. Cool place to hangout. Came here with a group for an evening event and it was a very nice experience. Service was superb and on point. Food was also pretty good, we got mostly bar food to share and everything was pretty healthy and light. The interior was very contemporary, and the couches were very comfortable. Nice ambience. We had a nice time.
Parking: There looked like there was a small parking lot in the back. Otherwise, there's metered parking. Experience: During the morning/daytime, Bodega is a chill place where you can get work done. There is a ton of seating (couches or tables), good wifi, and there are outlets at the bar. You order your food and drinks at the coffee counter. At night, this place is as lively as any popular LA dinner spot. It's dark and loud and waiters will come take your order. I like the pizza and the salads!
Pros: huge, lots of seating. Good drinks and surprisingly reasonably prices. Solid wifi, good for videos calls. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice staff. Clean bathrooms. Cons: parking sucks. No outlets (to my knowledge, didn't see any). A bit loud in the daytime, but fine with noise cancellation headphones. Love the concept of daytime coffee shop + evening wine bar
We came here for a casual dinner on a Monday night and caught the happy hour specials. Our server was friendly. We chose to sit outside since it was a nice evening and the sun hasn't set yet. The Margherita pizza was delicious. It tasted fresh. I loved the gooey cheese and the fresh basil. I also ordered the kale salad with chicken. That was a winner for me. The salad had the perfect hint of mint flavor combined with the tangy and savory sauce made this salad refreshing, flavorful and overall addictive. I would love to come back for their coffee and breakfast and sit inside next time. The inside has a great chill vibe. This eatery is located 9 blocks from the Santa Monica beach and is a casual and trendy restaurant for locals as well as visitors.
